There are two forms of Ego. One shows itself through behaviours that suggest a sense of superiority over another.
However, feeling and acting inferior to others is also ego. It can become like a game that we feel compelled to play – constantly switching from one form of ego to the other as if sitting on the end of a see-saw …
… On the other hand, the word “meek” does not mean passive or weak, but rather represents power under control—a gentle, humble strength .
To be Humble means never to act out of either arrogance and vengefulness or out of subservience and submission. It requires, amongst other things, a refusal to assert oneself for self-serving reasons, and to be very stable in one’s self-respect.
How is humility accurately characterised? How does it affect our mental wellbeing? Our relationships?
