Diwali – The Festival of Lights celebrated on the Oct/Nov new moon, and especially by faiths in India. Yet should every day not be a Festival of Lights in Higher Education? A day where the lights of student souls are ignited, and where their hopes and dreams are fanned by the enthusiasm, encouragement and understanding that an educator has for every individual in their class? (IF ONLY…!)  If you are a student, then learn to claim this as your right. If you are an educator, then learn to claim this ability as an integral part of your own qualification.
