Summer–Early Autumn Retreats & Micro-Engagements for People in Academia

Do feelings of inner turbulence get in the way of your Silence Power—your ability to access calm and clarity even amidst pressure and noise?

When time feels scarce and pressure builds, it’s natural to fall back on well-worn habits and patterns just to keep going.
But those habits aren’t always helpful. They can lead to damaged relationships or decisions we later regret.
There are tools that can help. But how do you know which one is right for your particular situation—and that you’re using it effectively?

It’s a bit like walking into a hardware store and choosing a power tool that looks promising. Without the experience or guidance to match the tool to the task, it’s guesswork—and the outcome is uncertain.

Our summer and early autumn programmes are specifically for people involved in university life: students, teachers, leaders, and support staff. Each engagement is bespoke: shaped around you and what you need.

This is a pro bono initiative, and we’re currently working toward charity status. You’re welcome to “pay it forward” if you’d like to help sustain the work, but it’s not required. The only ask is this: once you sign up, please commit to showing up—so our limited resources are always put to best use.

Interested? How do we proceed?

It starts with a simple conversation. You reach by email through our website contact form, and we chat about where you are and what you want to explore.
From there, we co-create a programme and schedule that’s practical, personalised, and meaningful.

Content may include familiar tools—used with greater clarity and alignment—as well as new ways of thinking and being. All of it is shared in non-institutionalised, informal, safe environments where you are fully heard and understood, and that help you reconnect with your most authentic self.

Opportunities include both online micro-engagements and in-person retreats just north of Aberdeen, Scotland. It’s an ideal time to pause, recharge, and build your Silence Power for next semester.
