ITLSIG (International Teaching & Learning Special Interest Group) is a group of Higher Education professionals from around the world who share an interest in teaching, learning, assessment and research in the Higher Education sector. In July, the speaker is Dr Suad Ghaben, an ITLSIG colleague from Palestine who is currently based in Malaysia, and who presents about the work she is involved with as a physiotherapy professional in Gaza. How nearly three decades of sociopolitical disruption in Gaza have shaped, and ultimately transformed, health profession education (HPE), with a particular focus on physiotherapy at Al-Azhar University-Gaza.

It will focus on the emergence of the Educational Resilience in Conflict Areas (ERiC) framework that positions institutional resilience not as a passive property but as an actively constructed, culturally grounded, and financially navigable achievement. It offers urgent insights for educators, funders, and policymakers working in low-resourced conflict environments worldwide.
